August 16, 2011 - What a great summer the band has been having! We really enjoyed sharing the stage at the 15th annual Almonte Celtfest and last weekend, we played back to back fabulous gigs. Saturday night, we had the pleasure of playing for a birthday party in Ottawa where we put on a show for a great group of Celtic music lovers. On Sunday, we made a return appearance at Pinhey's Point National Historic Site as part of their Riverfest celebration marking more than a century of life on the Ottawa River.

Next weekend, August 20th, we'll be back in Almonte at the 28th North Lanark Highland Games. You can meet us at the beer tent for the evening ceilidh at 4 pm. Hope to see you there!

June 16, 2011 - Corkery Road is proud to announce we will be taking the stage at Russell, Ontario's Celticfest on Saturday, June 18 from 2:30 - 3:30 pm. The Royal Canadian Legion has worked really hard to put on this annual event and the line up of tunes is always great. If you're planning to be in Easter Ontario that afternoon, stop by.

June 5, 2011 - Last Saturday, Corkery Road rocked the Cavanagh Stage at Valley Heritage Radio near beautiful Renfrew, Ontario. We'd like to thank the owners and operators of the station for having us out to do the Kitchen Party Live show and special thanks go out to the people who came to the studio to hear us live. We had a great time! Anyone interested in listening to good local music from the Valley can tune in to 98.7 FM on Saturdays from 1 to 2 pm or can go to the Valley Heritage Radio website and listen from anywhere in the world.

What a kick-off for a week of Irish celebrations! Check out our performances page for more dates and locations.

January 26, 2011 - What a fantastic time we had playing at the Royal Oak Kanata location. The bar was packed, the haggis was presented with poetry and bagpipes and the energy was just right for another one of those cold January nights! Thanks to everyone who came out to support us!

October 13, 2010 - Hi everyone! Seldom have we had to do this, but we have had to postpone our radio spot with Valley Heritage Radio due to medical reasons for one of our band members. Stay tuned for more information on when we will be joining their host for the Saturday afternoon Kitchen Party.

August 26, 2010 - Last night's gig at the Ottawa Mission was fantastic. We played to a small, but enthusiastic group of clients who had us laughing and sang along with us to all the songs they knew. Check our Comments page to see the note one of the clients passed to us as we were leaving. Thanks to the Ottawa Mission for having us again and a special thanks to the clients who will always remain our best audience!

August 22, 2010 - The North Lanark Highland Games was a great success despite challenging atmospheric conditions. Although damp, the rain held off and the crowd in the beer tent were lively and enthusiastic to play for. There's nothing finer than playing for a group of musicians and music lovers. Corkery Road was thrilled to see people who had previously enjoyed one of our performances in Cornwall. It was great to mix things up and join the crowd for the playing of the massed bands. Thanks so much to the organizers of the North Lanark Highland Games for their efforts and we look forward to being there next year.

August 20, 2010 - Well, the cat's out of the bag now! We just played an awesome backyard 40th birthday party in Arnprior. We were happy to play for such excellent friends! And the birthday boy was totally surprised by it. Congratulations Scott Catterill and happy birthday!

August 11, 2010 - Well, the Riverside Jam was a great time for the band. We kicked off Sunday afternoon's entertainment to a really great crowd. Now we are setting our sites on our next gigs: The Almonte Highland Games are fast approaching on August 21. You'll be able to find us in the beer tent from 4 until 8 pm. Then we will be playing for the good people who volunteer at the Ottawa Mission on August 25th. We're rounding out the month with the Art of Being Green where we will be headliners at their Fresh Air Festival taking place at the Middleville Fairgrounds August 28th. We're on at 4:30 pm, but the afternoon is filled with great entertainment. Our performances page has great links to some of these up-coming events.

We've played here before in August 2008 for their Heritage Days and we're looking forward to seeing you there again.

April 11 - Well CD Release Party West was a smashing success. The Naismith Sports Pub treated us very well indeed. Many thanks for all the familar faces that came out to support us and especially to the Thursday Night Jammers, Irish Connection and David Hauraney for working our sound board. Pictures soon.

April 4 - What a time we had! Our CD Release Party East, hosted by the Tartan Pub was a great time. The audience held many familiar faces and some new ones, including a boat-load of pirates. We were pleased to share the stage with the Tuesday Night Jammers who warmed up the crowd for us and Bonita LeBlanc and Ellen Katic who gave us some fantastic Cape Breton tunes. Pictures have been added to our Photos page including one from our TV debut.

If you missed the show at the Tartan, be sure to come out to the Naismith Sports Pub in Almonte on April 10th for our CD Release Party West. We'll be starting at 7 pm.

More event information is available on our Facebook Fan page. Check it out.

March 28 - Mark your calendars, folks. Corkery Road is going to be at the Tartan Pub, located at 4025 Innes Road in Orleans on April 3rd.

We'll be set up and ready to raise the rafters by 7 pm. And I hear that the Tartan has already started taking reservations! Ring side (I mean stage side) seats are going fast. Come early, stay late. Enjoy the food and take our music home with you! We`ll even sign your CD for you.

March 15 - Corkery Road had a hectic, but enjoyable day on March 13.
We started with a St. Patrick's Day party before a lively, packed house at the Almonte Legion. The audience got in to the spirit with the "wearin' o' the green", (and in to the spirits as well!!) and by singing along to the old Irish favourites. As usual the Newfoundlanders in the crowd were the best partiers. This was followed by a mad dash up the March Road to St. Isadore's Church for another St. Paddy's Day bash in aid of their building fund. Again, a lively and appreciative crowd enjoyed an evening of great Irish music (we snuck in some Scottish and Newfoundland pieces as well). The organizer, J.P., who is an accomplished dance instructor, taught the audience a complicated Cape Breton Square dance that was enjoyed by all. Fortunately we were able to dip into our seemingly bottomless repertoire bag to come up with the appropriate music. All in all, a busy, tiring, but tremendously fun day for Corkery Road. We are looking forward to doing it all again on March 17th at the Cock and Bull (4pm -8 pm) and O'Connor's (9-1)

March 7 - Things are heating up for the month of March. Check out our Performances page to see where we`ll be next. Hope to see you there.
